"This is the place where the unseen within me comes into view."

I'm a scientist specialized in cell biology, histology, and embryology, currently serving as a senior professor at Ankara University in Turkey. While science is my profession and lifelong passion, photography is my creative escape—and an integral part of how I explore and document the world around me.

My semi-professional focus lies in underwater photography. I've been diving since 1996, capturing the beauty and mystery of life beneath the surface. I call these unique images AQUAgraphs®. Feel free to explore the AQUAgraphs section to dive into this visual journey.

In my scientific work, I have the opportunity to access and study tissues from both human and various animal sources. Using advanced microscopy techniques, my research group and I generate striking images that reveal the hidden beauty of biological structures. These are what I refer to as MICROgraphs. You’re invited to visit the MICROgraphs section to discover this microscopic world.

Although I don't consider myself a traditional landscape photographer, I love to capture moments during my travels across different countries and cultures. These snapshots of life on land are what I call EARTHgraphs. Take a look at the EARTHgraphs section to see the world through my lens.

""The photographs accumulating in my camera are like memories in my travel notebook.

I collect these 'memories' out of the same concern that drives me to write:

'I will forget if I don’t photograph,' just as 'I will forget if I don’t write.'"
